}} The Winslow Amtrak station is served daily by Amtrak's ''Southwest Chief'' between Chicago and Los Angeles. The depot and the La Posada Hotel and Gardens, built in 1930, were designed by Mary Jane Colter, famed as the architect of several buildings at the Grand Canyon. She considered this hotel as her masterpiece. The compound, at 501 East Second Street in Winslow, Arizona has been the centerpiece of the La Posada Historic District since March 31, 1992. ==Hotel== The station and La Posada Hotel combine elements of the Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival architecture styles. Characteristic features include shady colonnades and arcades, roofs covered in red clay tiles, stuccoed walls and decorative wrought ironwork. La Posada is one of the last of a series of hotel-depot complexes built across the Southwestern United States in a collaboration between Fred Harvey and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The hotel was closed in 1957, turned into offices, and abandoned. Bought in 1997 and partly restored, it reopened as a historic hotel. Further restoration continues. The La Posada Hotel is mentioned in the Lost Dogs song "Goodbye Winslow" on the album ''Old Angel'' about traveling US Route 66. The depot was renovated to serve as a museum celebrating the culture of the Route 66 corridor and the arts in Winslow. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Winslow (Amtrak station)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
